CRUZZTO Tests Innovative Solution for Shipping Stones Without Containers
Capixaba company CRUZZTO is testing StoneLift, an innovative solution that allows stones to be shipped without containers. With this technology, CRUZZTO aims to reduce loading times by up to 60% and cut costs for end consumers by up to 15%.
- Cost reduction: StoneLift eliminates the dependency on container terminals, which are scarce in Espírito Santo, allowing for greater logistical flexibility.
- Savings for end customers: With lower logistics costs, the price of stone slabs in the U.S. market could drop significantly, increasing the competitiveness of Brazilian stones abroad.
The first practical test of StoneLift will take place this month, with four units being loaded onto the G2 Ocean ship, departing from the port of Aracruz. The expectation is that this solution will help to unblock the logistical bottlenecks that have hindered exports.
