Brazil Signs MoU with Abu Dhabi Port — New Natural Stone Hub Opens Doors for Global Reach

Brazilian stone industry moves forward with creation of a Middle-East logistics hub; Luchoa Stones looks forward to leveraging expanded export opportunities.

On November 26, 2025, Centrorochas and Abu Dhabi Ports Company (AD Ports Group) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the “Brazilian Natural Stone Hub” at the Port of Abu Dhabi.

The hub aims to provide a permanent logistics and promotional base for Brazilian natural stone in the Middle East, offering warehousing, ready-to-ship stock and institutional presence — reducing logistical barriers and boosting Brazil’s competitiveness vis-à-vis traditional suppliers from Italy, Turkey, India and China.

Between January and October 2025, Brazil exported USD 20.7 million in natural stone to Middle Eastern markets — a 146.5 % increase vs. the same period in 2024 — with the United Arab Emirates alone accounting for USD 13.5 million (growth of 295.8 %) as the main destination.

For Luchoa Stones, the timing could not be better: with a growing demand for premium natural stone in high-end Middle Eastern architecture and real-estate, this hub represents a strategic opportunity to expand exports, reduce shipping lead times and position the brand among global players.
